My last 6 weeks in the mission. It is getting real. However Heavenly Father loves me so much he knows exactly what would make my last 6 weeks incredible.
I don't know how to explain this well for everyone to understand but let me tell you I am sooo ecstatic and excited for this new adventure!
I am called a Referral Sister in the mission. I am going to be with 3 others sisters who came here to New York with me from the MTC. That's bonus #1. Finishing the mission with those who I started it with. How cool is that?
What we will be doing is finding the referrals sent to the Bronx from the media. We will be delivering the item requested and then seeing if they have potential and will progress further so we can pass them to missionaries to teach them longer. It saves so much more time for the missionaries in these areas. I am also going to be helping find the lost YSA's in the Bronx and help them attend the YSA ward in Manhattan. Manhattan is yearning to find these souls but don't know how and there are 700 of them. What I am to do is go and get correct information and encourage them to come and join the saints! I am THRILLED! This is so exciting.
I live in The Bronx. Concourse specifically and work in Olmstead (I am back baby!) and attending church in lower Manhattan. I am so excited. This is going to be the most incredible 6 weeks full of miracles and growing. What a great way to end the mission!
This week was full of miracles as well. In my last area we had a hard time finding people to teach for about 6 weeks. We couldn't find anyone who wanted to learn and come to church. It was a little disheartening and discouraging. Of course my last night we saw so many miracles. One especially I loved.
Nicole Dinero. We went to look up someone and they wernt home.. again... I decided to make the most of it and knock on a door. A man answered and I was speaking to him and he walked away.... okay... still had hope. Then Nicole came to the door. It was his daughter and he didn't speak English. She was uncomfortable at first but then we broke the ice and she is ready to learn more! It made me so excited because she is so bright and ready for the gospel
I seriously love these people so much. I love this gospel it makes my heart happy when people see the light of Christ and want it in their life!
I am so thrilled I get to keep going. I get to keep learning. That's life!
I love you all!!
