As I've been approaching the end of my mission I seem to notice things in a different way. I am more aware of my surroundings. Its brought forth soooo many miracles!
While walking home my companion spotted money on the sidewalk. We picked it up and it was 50$ attached to a receipt. We checked the receipt and found a phone number. We called and explained what we had found and she said we could meet her outside her apartment complex. She thanked us and said "he would pay us back for what we did" as she pointed to the sky. We asked if she was religious and she said they once tried it but was taking a break. They had a woman come and teach them the bible but had a bad experience. We pulled out The Book of Mormon and she said "I'm from Mexico and my distant relative is a mormon!" We explained the beauty of the restoration of Christ gospel contained in the book and asked her to open her mind to letting us come back. We gave her the Book and she said "he is really going to bless you double now. You have my number give me a call."
It is incredible how many people we have met this week who has a tie to the church. Last night I accidently has us get on the wrong bus and while we got on the right bus we sat down and a woman immediatly asked "Are you Mormons?" We smiled and said yes! She smiled and said "Thank you. You helped my aunt in my country learn to drink water. Thank you!"
It wasn't me. It wasn't my doing. I didn't mean to get on the wrong bus. Heavenly Father needed us to be delayed for a few minutes because he needed us to make an appearance to that lady. It is all His work and timing.
I love I get to be apart of It!
I love you all!
I love New York
