There is a log cabin in New York!

Hello again family :)

This week was all sorts of amazing. Right now I am sitting on the train heading to Manhattan to go to the Temple! I am thrilled. This week I have been to Manhattan about 3 times. Crazy! I thought my time there was over. We've had appointments and meetings galore! Oh how I love the city. Also when I come back into the Bronx my heart fills with immense joy. We had the opportunity to hear from Elder and Sister Gong of the seventy! This is my second time here in New York hearing from them. They both came to the Harlem YSA in October. It was wonderful to have them back! This time they came back for a mission tour. All the missionaries got to hear from Him and meet him. He is so loving and said "every month we meet with President Monson and he says "When you go and see the people. Tell them I love them all." " I know he really means it. You can feel it in the eyes of his apostles. The spirit was so strong with him. One of the most spiritually powerful meetings I have ever attended as a missionary. I even had the opportunity to bear my testimony. It was amazing to proclaim my love for God and my Savior to one of his leaders. On a less spiritual note. I don't know what it is but here in New York I get a lot of attention. Haha!! I have had so many compliments and eyes on me since I got here. A couple of the funniest ones I have gotten this week are : 1st- we were walking down the street and saw this ADORABLE little girl. We walked past and told the dad she was so cute. Then his friend next to him said "that's so funny. He was just saying the same thing about you girls."! Oh Boy. 2nd- this one actually just happened! We were walking after putting our clothes in the laundry and this man from behind us says "excuse me!" We turn around and say "yes?" Thinking I might have dropped something. He then comes up beside me and says "how did you get calves like that?" HAHAHAH! Oh my goodness. I told him I walked everywhere because I am a missionary.he then said "oh man. I was asking because I am going to planet fitness and wanted to know which machine you use." So funny.Turns out he actually met some Elders a while ago and he asked for materials. So we gave him a pamphlet and he said "okay. So give me the gist of it." We didn't have time right there but we did get his number! Miracles for exercising! Who knew that having good calves (thanks mom and dad!) Would help me share the gospel? Love it! There are so many things I would love to tell you all about my weeks here in New York. There are so many miracles and the hand of the Lord is ever so present. He is doing this work. I am only his hand. One really cool thing that happened was we had a less active speak in church this Sunday. She came early and went to the Spanish sacrament too. She said "I came early for parking and was here anyway so I might as well go to all of it." She then gave one of the most powerful talk on family history and temples. She is so amazing! I love her so much. I love this work! I love my Heavenly Father. He truly answers prayers. I love Jesus Christ. He does live and how excited I am for Easter! I love that he lives and we celebrate that and his birth! How wonderful. I love all of you. Thank you for the support you give to me daily! We then walk over to the last street and see a LOG CABIN! no big deal, I'm just going to vacation in New York at my log cabin. #goals!
