Dear Family! This week has been full of activity! As is any other week really. Halloween in the city is nothing I have ever seen or heard of before. It is actually really cool. Instead of going from house to house(mainly because there is none), they go from store to store! They will walk down the street and go from store to store to collect candy. Smart! Safe way to do it in the city! Also because you can't get into apartments here :) The weekend was full of Halloween parties and we got to see many different costumes! Prince, Lobsters, gender swap Velma, tons of black cats(I thought of you Eliza!) Minecraft person(Thomas ;) and one of our ward members we saw him on the train was dressed up as Caesar Flickerman! Hahah I love Halloween. It was really cool because we got to talk to a lot of people because of it. I also went on a lot of splits with other missionaries this week. I had Hermanas! Oh how I love Spanish. It is incredible because I can understand a lot of it. Speaking on the other hand..is a gift I do not have. One day :) It was really amazing because we were in this lesson with a women. She only spoke Spanish so my companion translated for her on my behalf. The lesson was disappointing and sad. The women is the sister of a member from the Spanish ward. We had that brother with us to teach her. They both explained our purpose and the doctrine of Christ beautifully. When my companion asked if she would be baptized and learn more she said no. She didn't want us to come back either to waste our time. It was so sad as we watched her brother exit the room. It was quiet and I said in y limited Spanish "Hermana. Te quiermos mucho y Dios tambien". She lit up so much and smiled. She humbly and gratefully said "Gracias". We closed with a prayer and gave her a hug. I know she felt a spirit. It was incredible and I am grateful I was able to give her that much. I feel like there is always so much to tell you all but when the time comes I can never remember. Sorry!!! If you have any questions for me, please email! I will try an answer them :) I love you all! I am so grateful and full of joy I get to be here in NYC and to serve the children of God here. They are unique and need my help. I KNOW The Book of Mormon is true. Read it for yourself!!!! It is full of power and incredible accounts of the people who lived in the Americas first. They are courageous and brave men and women of God. They are all huge examples to me of full service to God. I LOVE IT! Each morning I wake up and read from it. It gives me motivation to keep going, expecially on those not so great days. I LOVE YOU ALL!!! I hope yo all have a wonderful start of this new month!! Love, Sister Robison
