God loves you, Jesus Christ loves you, and I love you too :)

Dear Family!

These past two weeks have been full of amazing experiences! I am overwhelmed with the spirit. It has been present here in Harlem YSA. for sure. Last week we had a soul come unto baptism and receive the wonderful blessing of the Holy Ghost. What a different feeling it is to see an adult come to the waters of baptism. Amazing spirit. It was so powerful I could hardly handle it. Afterwards he came up to me and said "Sister you are doing an amazing work. Keep going." I wasn't even the one who had taught him. Yet he had seen my hard work and dedication and love for it. I am so grateful for his kind and loving spirit. That next day, Sunday, was a special one. We had Elder Gong from the 70 come to our ward and speak to us! He was only speaking to 5 wards and we were one of them. As he walked in the chapel I knew that he was a servant of God. He was called and held the authority to speak Gods word. It was incredible! I also had the opportunity to meet him and talk with him for a minute. It was amazing to know that I also had authority to teach the word. I LOVE MY CALLING! A ton of miracles have been gong on as well. We have been doing a lot of finding at Columbia University. We have met incredibly talented people there. This past week we met a famous youtuber! Hahah his youtube channel is 'Cubin with Meki' he is a rubix cube mastermind He did it in less than 17 seconds. it was awesome! Of course we got a picture :) We also met a women who was on the 5th season of 'The Voice'! We also found out that Lindsey Stirling was here last week. We met a woman on the train and she said she was going to a concert. We asked who and she said "You might not know her. Lindsey Stirling?" HAHAHAHA we burst up laughing!We said "of course we do! she is actually a member of our church and served her mission here!" It was a great start to introduce our message :) I love it. We also had zone conference yesterday. Oh my heaven. I love the spirit and revelation I receive in these missionary meetings. I love my Mission President as well and his love for the gospel. He is so in tune with the spirit it makes me want to become just like him. I have to be honest. I have been a little disappointed the past week because of the lack of people we have to teach. I feel all our efforts have been for naught. We meet a ton of people but then no one answers back to our follow ups.. Let's just say I was less than motivated. However yesterday was like someone had dumped gasoline on a little fire. I am now so pumped! Last night we had taught the full restoration in less than 4 minutes. It is possible and SO powerful! One lady on the bus said she knew that was true. Another man said that he would want to be baptized and we had him pray for a date. We also met an incredible young women who was so excited to read the Book of Mormon. we introduced it and she said "I can hardly wait! I am so excited to start reading this!Thank you SO much!I am so glad I met you both!" These experiences have been why I came on my mission. To share the unique message that God is our loving Heavenly Father. We are his children and He gave us the best gift ever. Jesus Christ. The gospel of Jesus Christ really does bless our lives. Prophets guide us. They have the permission of God to do so. Which is called the Priesthood. Even Christ did. He established his church on the earth and took our sins so we can feel of our fathers love and live with them again. Although he was the son of God people killed him and his apostles. When they were all killed that permission from God was lost. Imagine that. A world with confusion on what the savior taught. Sounds miserable doesn't it? For centuries people were lost on the teachings of our beloved Savior. Many churches were created because they wanted that order again but didn't know where to find it. Well God did not want that for us any longer. Joseph Smith in 1820 prayed to our father in heaven and asked if any of the churches that were on the earth was his and if he should join one. His experience makes me weak. He said this of his experience "I saw a pillar of light exactly over my head, above the brightness of the sun, which descended gradually until it fell upon me. When the light rested upon me I saw two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the other—This is My Beloved Son. Jesus told Joseph that none of the churches on the earth had all his gospel and Joseph needed to bring it back to the fullness. He gave Joseph that priesthood and by that Joseph was able to translate the Book of Mormon so we could have all the truth of God revealed to us. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God.
