Hello Everyone! Transfers have happened! But before I get to that, the most important part of the week. General Conference. How blessed we are to have the opportunity to listen to modern day prophets who speak to God now. We have the most incredible gift of the priesthood. There was this man we met who created this website to relate what prophets of old have taught to our day now. We told him that was incredible, however we don't have to do that. That is wonderful and we should still do that, but we have modern day prophets now who understand our exact struggles and can talk about them directly to us and how to overcome them. He then looked at us and pulled out the false prophets scripture. My heart broke for this man because he was so close to finding so much joy and blessings and his heart was so hardened. Let us open up our heart to what God wants us to hear! It may be scary and uncomfortable but just like Elder Renlund said " there is joy in repentance". Repentance is a wonderful thing. It truly is. Sister Reeves bore a powerful testimony of repentance. Let us not be afraid of what people will think of us, let us be more afraid of what will happen to us if we don't change. That is what repentance is: change. And change is how we grow to become like God! Our sins and mistakes do not make us who we are. We are just as Elder Rasband said "defined by our identity. Which is sons and daughters of God". How wonderful?!? Also Elder Nelson talked about how much joy we can receive even if we go through trials. If you haven't watched all of conference I encourage you too! Don't do it all at once. Little by little. You will be amazed at what you can find. Even if you have watched all of it, re-watch it. I LOOOOVED conference. Now to the fun part :) not that conference part wasn't fun! Transfers. I am staying the YSA ward and I received..... dun dun dun duh! SISTER Pressley!! She is amazing!!! She is a Chinatown mandarin speaking missionary and I have the most amazing opportunity to work with her. I love her to death and she treats me with so much love. I am blessed. The funniest thing happened. Yesterday I got sick and wasn't paying attention very well. We were on the bus and we missed our stop. And the next stop was in Queens......outside of our area!!! So needless to say, on the first day of taking over my area we left the mission :) however we had a beautiful view of Manhattan and met two college students who spoke Chinese! It was awesome! It just shows that God really does make the best of every situation.. even when we are disobedient. I am blessed to be here in New York. What a rare opportunity I have. I get to help God's people each day. Teach others the joy of Christ. We are teaching this women named Alalea. She is preparing to be baptized and is amazing. She is so excited and loooves Jesus Christ. All she wants to do is help others stay away from sin. I am grateful for Jesus Christ. He loves us. He is my redeemer, my king, my brother, my friend. My Jesus. I love God. He is my father. My everything. How blessed I am to know that. I hope each of you know that as well. If not. Pray. Read the Book of Mormon with real intent. There is so much power in the scriptures. I love you all soooo much!!! ♡ Sister Robison
