Hello my amazing beautiful family!

I love P-Day because then I can email all the amazing miracles that have happened in the week! First off. I hope everyone had an incredible 4th. Here in Middletown everyone is so patriotic it was incredible! I was so excited and grateful for the country we live in. It was also so neat to see the people who have immigrated here and how grateful they are for America. There is a way awesome scripture I found a few weeks ago that was my theme for the 4th. It is 2 Nephi 1:5. I love it so much. Go read it. It talks about the refugees and the promise land. God bless America ain't no joke. I love it! The 4th way way cool. we had a BBQ at a members home. The Goolcharans. They are from Trinidad! They are the coolest. So we knew this BBQ was happening like 2 weeks ago. Sister Zelaya and I decided to invite everyone and their dog. We made so many handouts and literally invited everyone we saw. We invited about 25-30 people. (We don't see a ton of people....the hid from us or don't answer the doors haha) anyway. We started calling everyone on Saturday to see who would come. Yeah like no one was coming. But we still had hope! So we thought the BBQ started at 2:30 and we get there early, start setting up and wait..... well I guess they told everyone 3:30. Ha Sister Zelaya was freaking out. She hates wasting time. I get that. Well so no one was showing up that we invited. But then.... ONE INVESTIGATOR!!! Her name is Denisha. She is the coolest. She is living with a Less Active member and they have a million ugly problems. But they still preserver and I love them. So she came and the world was a little more peaceful :) man it was way fun. We got to enjoy each others company and be grateful for the freedom we have to worship God and I loved it. Well we had an appointment scheduled with a less active member after so we went... she wasn't home. This less active is way flaky and so we weren't to surprised and decided to go look up another less active in her area. This was an amazing miracle. We knocked on this door and nothing. We knocked two more times because I saw the light was on. We didn't budge. Then Sister Zelaya rang the door bell. We braced ourselves. We were expecting a mad lady come answering the door because she was with her family on the 4th of July. Instead this little girl answered the door. We asked her is Joan was home. She said yes that is my mom and ran upstairs. Then a few seconds pass and we hear "WHAT!?!" and this lady runs down the stairs and let's our a huge sigh of relief. She says " oh my goodness. My daughter came upstairs and said there where 2 people in the house". Haha hahahah! Oh my gosh so funny. So we got talking and it turns out that she is not Joan and no one by that name lives there. Even more amazing! So we decided to ask her questions and tell her what we were about. Then we were about to leave and I decide to bear my testimony of the Book of Mormon. It was so crazy! That is something I haven't done yet. Just on a door approach. I usually wait until we have an actual lesson but the spirit prompted me so much. I couldn't not do it. In result.. we have an appointment with her next Tuesday;) NEW INVESTIGATOR!!! that's what happens when you work even on a holiday. 😁 the Lord blesses you and recognizes your efforts. Please pray she won't drop us. *fingers crossed*her name is Ebony. Anyway. We also had splits that night. We finally found out who our Sister Training Leaders where and scheduled to split with them. I went to Kingston with Sister Taylor. Kingston is the tip-top of the mission! And it is way cool. Like Middletown but way less country. Everything is way closer together. And it was such an incredible day. I spent all day yesterday there with her. Yesterday morning I prayed so hard that I could do the work and not let Sister Taylor down. I prayed that I could have the spirit to flow our of my mother and teach with power and to just speak. Oh my. The Lord answers prayers and truly does help the weak and simple. We had a million miracles that day. We found a new investigator. Had 2 member presents, which were not planned. And taught the most amazing lesson to conclude our night ever! I also had incredible Tostadas and got to enjoy listening to Spanish. It is incredible how much Spanish I understand. I just have a problem speaking it. Anyway the one miracle I want to share was the last lesson we had yesterday. His name is Wayne. He is dying. He has pancreas cancer and kidney failure. He is a dad to 6 and has so much faith. He is elect. We had planned on teaching them the word of wisdom. Sister Taylor was so worried because he smokes and drinks coffee. They are teaching his wife and one daughter too and his wife smokes but she was really worried that Wayne would drop them because of it. He smokes and drinks because it is an outlet from all the pain. And another reason why she was worried was because he had accepted every thing they had taught him so easily. He accepted the restoration, Joseph Smith, POS, everything just like that. He kept saying "it is all true. It makes sense." They want to get baptized. Well anyhow last night we got there at 7:33. We had to leave at 7:35 in order to make it to the place we were going to unsplit on time. So Sister Taylor said "okay. We will share a short scripture." We didn't get out until 7:57. It was incredible! I walk into the home and the mother is so stressed. She totally forgot we were coming and explains how awful a day they had. Then Wayne walks out. He looks so miserable. He is holding a cup of coffee and can barely open his eyes. I wanted to hug him and cry! I felt so much godly love for that man and so much sympathy. I just heard "that is my son. Help him" So we sit down and he offers the opening prayer. It was dripping with faith and love. It was beautiful. Then we teach the WOW and they accepted it! They want to stop and be baptized! They are elect. Then his wife gave the closing prayer. She has immense faith as well. Oh my goodness. The spirit in that home was undesirable. I didn't want to leave! As we said goodbye I shook Wayne's hand and said "I really wish I could hug you! Thank you so much for this time I had to meet you and feel of your faith and spirit". That man is amazing and I will never forget his example. I hope each of you rely on the Lord as much as Wayne does. I know I need to work better at it. I am so grateful for The Savior and His Atonement. Where we are able to repent and change! Another thing Wayne said as we asked him what is repentance supposed to be. Good or bad? He exclaimed, "GOOD! we repent daily! It is a wonderful thing!" I testify to that. Let us each repent daily and encourage and be excited for those who do too! I love you all. God is great. Jesus is good, and people are crazy;) but amazing sons and daughters of God. ♡ Sister Robison
