Holla Mi Familia!!

Man oh man. Another amazing week. One really cool thing that happened this week was we have a Zone Study and Interviews with President! We drove to Newburgh which is about 30 minutes from Middletown. What a Zone Study is, is that the whole zone comes together and we study with President for about an hour and a half. We talked a lot about being enthusiastic about church. When we walk in to the church and shake hands with people and say hello also say "This is going to be an AMAZING sacrament meeting. Get a good seat. The front seats by the sacrament table are the best. I can't wait!" Shouldn't we always be like that? Why would we got to church if we think it is boring or that we can get in our nice clothes to take a nap in front of a bunch of people? That is not the reason we go to church. Another thing he has asked us was "What have we done to fill up the chapel?" I ask each of you. What have you done to fill the pews? Have you invited a friend to church? Have you sat by someone new? Have you invited a co-worker or neighbor? How are you helping others come and learn of Jesus Christ? I am going to be better at that. I am going to show everyone I meet that church it is an amazing time and I wouldn't want to be any where else. This past Sunday we walked to church from our apartment. It is about a mile and half. (All up hill) let's just say, humidity and the sunshine with my Sunday clothes... I don't know how the members still want to hug me! But it is amazing. We have so many cool experiences. This Sunday we were walking and crossing the parking lot of a Deli shop. There was this man in his truck and he asked us what we were doing. We walked over and started talking to him and gave him a Book of Mormon. We also invited him to church but he said he had a business meeting. Well we met 2 other people and invited them to church as well. One girl was walking so fast she didn't even look back as we tried to talk to her or invite her to church. She said she was on her way to get a sandwich. Haha oh the people we meet. I love it! The last lady we met said something that has stuck with me all week. She said "There is a difference between going to church and being in church." Think about that for a while and determine which one you are. I challenge you to be in church. Anyway, church WAY incredible this week. In Sacrament meeting we had incredible talks. There is this one lady who is from Haiti and she speaks French. She gave a talk and it was beautiful. It was on the temple and it's blessings. We had another woman speak and she spoke Spanish. Hers was about the temple as well. We had a young woman speak, she just spoke English ;) and hers was about personal progress and the blessings of seminary. It was a wonderful meeting! As I think back on it I have come to see something beautiful. No matter what language we speak. No matter what country or culture. The word of God is true all around. The blessings, commandments and teachings. They are all true in every way. How incredible?!? I absolutely love it. After that we had a meeting with bishop to see how we can better help him in his ward. Before we began he thanked us for all we did. He had said that Sister Missionaries are a very tender thing in his heart. He thanked us for our diligence and love. He said that he saw us as he drove to the church that morning. He had tears in his eyes as he saw us teaching that man at the deli. He knew that we knew our purpose and tried to teach as many people as possible. He choked up a bit and thanked us for every thing we do. It was such a sweet reminder that I am doing good. Also it was really humbling and nice to be seen working. I am very grateful for this chance to speak unto the children of God. To help those come unto Christ and receive joy. It has been such an amazing experience. I love it.
