Dearest family of mine, Can you believe that I got to New York only last week? Believe it or not I haven't done much. Sister Zelaya was sick this week. She was taking a medicine and got an allergic reaction. She has been breaking out in hives for days. We had to go to urgent care because itching cream and benadryl wasn't cutting it. She's doing much better this week. I had a lot of time to study. I have also grown to hate our apartment haha. Just because I have spent most of my first week in Middletown in it. That is going to change! We have a busy week ahead :) bring it on! My first Sunday in the Middletown ward was much different than I expected. The ward is so tiny! We started sacrament and there was all but about 30 people!!!! I am going to change that. Also our ward is bilingual. So half speak English and the other half speak Spanish. They have a translator and headsets! For every class and sacrament! It's the craziest thing. Singing is a bit different and challenging but I'll get used to it :)

Also......we have about an average of 2 dinner appointments each week. They don't feed the Sisters much in Middletown. Partly because we also have 2 sets of Elders in our ward. And our ward is tiny... but that's okay because Sister Zelaya is an AWESOME cook. She spoils me. She makes me smoothies almost every morning and a wicked dinner. (As wicked as a missionary dinner can get) We had my first district meeting yesterday. We made monthly district goals. We reached for the stars. I am going to meet, if not exceed, those goals. I am going to do it. Today we went and toured West Point Military Base. It was really cool! Our whole zone went out. Sister Zelaya and I are the only Sisters In our zone. It's great, also way awkward... hopefully that will change.. maybe Elders and Sisters are just meant to be awkward around each other. However it was so cool. We saw cadets everywhere and actually we met 3 of them because they are LDS and swarmed to the Missionaries ; ) one of them ran up to us holding his mission call! "It came in the mail all of 2 seconds ago! I'm going to Skype my parents!" We had an older missionary couple giving us the tour and they knew these cadets. So it was cool. Also turns out that Brigham Young had 2 sons attend and graduate. And!!!!! I met someone who grew up in Ely Nevada!!! She was the couple missionary. Sister Riddler. I don't know her first or maiden name but she said that she knew Brother Fay!! Small world huh??? So cool. We get to go to a mission tour tomorrow and listen to Elder Bennett of the quorum of the Seventy. We have been preparing for him since I got here. We had to read certain paragraphs from PMG (Preach My Gospel) and a certain talked called the consecrated missionary. Also we have had to practice teaching the restoration. We may have to role play it tomorrow. We recorded ourselves last night doing it. Here is the recording (the recording didn't come through email the file was not working). I hope you are amused, then feel the spirit ;) this is our 2nd time teaching it together. I love all of you so much. We stayed a little longer at West Point than planned so we are running late on the rest of p-day activities. We still have to go grocery shopping. I love every single one of you. Sister Robison
